The Fadreen is a novel that I'm writing, but in the meantime I have published a few short stories (here in their entirety.)

Enjoy at your leisure.  Joe Dunne.

My stories range from serious heart-wrenching tales like, "PJ's Story, The New Purchase, to fairy tales for grown ups. Example,"The Crying Princess, Sproggy Clumperdink, Scrapper Simpson," and humorous stories like ."A day in the life of Saint Peter." Thought provoking stories with a twist, The Deep South.
In addition to the completed short stories, I have a page of excerpts from those stories and novels that I'm in the process of writing. At the moment I'm working on the Fadreen
Enjoy the samples here on my site. So far I have about 40 short stories completed which I hope to have published soon. Select from the menu above to read, I hope you enjoy them.
Thanks again.

They say, “To be a successful writer you must read and read  passionately and voraciously.”
They also say,  “Write about the things you know about.”  Does that not put a restriction on your writing?
Me? I write about things I know nothing about, preferring to use my imagination inspired by a lifetime of experience, travelling and working with an abundance of characters in a multitude of jobs.
I don't read as much as I would like to, so would my writing benefit enormously from having read a mountain of books? Undoubtedly.
I recently started writing and am working on three novels. I have shared some of my short stories on this site.
I hope you enjoy them.
